And now I am really in love with Lenny

Lenny had it all. The perfect upper arms. Lisa Bonet. Then a daughter: Zoë. I also wished someone had come up with ‘I built this garden for us.’ And ‘Flowers for Zoë.’ I remember going to an afterparty of Prince in Utrecht, where Lenny was bassing and despite the spectacle on stage (Prince of course, Candy and dad Hans Dulfer) I was only looking at Lenny. Lenny and Lisa were my real-world fairytale. But that fell apart. Lisa was no longer called Lisa but Lilakoi Moon (no joke) and went through life namasté-ing.

Then came the reports about his house that made you instantly want the most plush white carpet (very impractical with kids, I know) and immediately wanted to be shot back to the seventies. Sometimes Lenny went a bit too far for me, with his little nose bubble and such, but that can be overlooked.

And now there was this video. Lenny. On a horse. On his organic farm in Brazil. With two lovely women in the kitchen whom he kisses and hugs and who then make him amazing delicious organic and homegrown food all day long. A guesthouse for his band. An Olympic-sized swimming pool. Now I hope for just two things: that Lisa returns to the Brazilian farm and that they will live happily ever after and that Lenny treats us to beautiful songs again.
