And then everything suddenly fell into place...

As a little grape, I had two career goals in life. 1: to become a heart surgeon (because, and I can still hear myself saying it, ‘Mom, then I'll buy a house with a very big swimming pool and the whole family can come swim’) and 2: to write for a magazine. The first became difficult with my natural gift of getting an instant panic attack at blood in places where it doesn't belong, so I set my hopes on 2. The thing is, I rolled into the world of online. Through my first internship at NU.nl towards the online department of LINDA. to eventually end up at Amayzine.com. And then May suddenly said it at the end of 2016. ‘Maybe I want to make a Amayzine magazine .’ Shiver. Tremble. Was print not dead? We were just going to do it. And so it happened that I could suddenly check off my little girl goal. Now our fifth magazine is already in stores. 236 pages thick. Full of nice stories about fashion, travel, the addiction behind the Insta-likes, and a runway dossier that makes you greedy. That is of course our humble opinion. So if you're still looking for a nice magazine: it’s still very briefly at your bookstore and in Albert Heijn. I would say: hurry up.
