Ariana, het is oké om niet oké te zijn

I have always found her to be badass. How she interacts with her fans, how she expresses herself on social media, how she bounced back after that terrible attack in Manchester… This girl doesn’t give up, I should say. But sometimes, sometimes the bucket is just full. Ariana Grande is done. She has canceled a meet and greet in Belgium this weekend due to her mental health. The singer sent a letter to her fans to let them know that her depression and anxiety are currently at an ‘all time high’. ‘I don’t want to rush through our time together or seem shaky. I like spending actual time with you and I won’t be able to be present or give you the best of me today,’ she writes. Dear Ariana, it’s okay to feel a little not so Grande. You fall. You are human. You are not perfect. You get up. You learn. Look at Justin Bieber, look at Selena Gomez. The pressure you feel to ’disappoint’ hundreds of people seems terrible to me. But the nice thing is that honesty is always appreciated. Look at how many fans on Twitter are cheering you on and letting you know they are proud of you, just by sharing this. And just wait and see how you will shine again in a few weeks like never before. You go, girl.
