British press is now dragging Meghan through the mud

Meghan was ‘the royal they had been waiting for’, she was immensely popular, loved by the people, and everyone wanted to be her friend. But that is over: the Brits seem quite done with the duchess of Sussex.
It's really getting out of hand now: no newspaper is reporting on her in a somewhat pleasant way anymore. She is being attacked from all sides. One moment she is said to be mean, the next she wore the wrong clothes, then her hair was again wrong... She breaks one ‘rule’ after another and is said to have had arguments with most staff members. Her new home at Windsor Castle is still not finished. There is a lot of work being done to get this done before the birth. And yes, because there is urgency, everything turns out to be more expensive and crazier. That's why it is immediately reported in the media in capital letters: ‘Renovation costs twice as much as the renovation of William's house’. And those are not the only headlines screaming negativity. ‘Meghan overwhelmed with criticism after wearing this outfit to Princess Eugenie's wedding’. Because she chose dark blue and the Brits find that ‘too gloomy’. ‘Meghan gets up too early’. She would like to start her day at 5 am. Then she is again not allowed to put her hands in her pockets according to the press. ‘Meghan has her hands in her pockets! Shame!’, she gets more media backlash.
And also: ‘Meghan is accused of causing drought and violating human rights’. Uh, why, you might think? This is because she eats avocados and she supposedly shouldn't eat them because avocados are suddenly ‘protected’, as picking all these avocados harms the environment. This is no joke. This is what is being said about her: ‘Meghan is killing’, because it affects people in third-world countries and the environment. All because of that avocado. Man man man. Oh well, you know what it is? If everyone throws every sigh you make into the eight o'clock news, then it's not easy to do everything right. All the spotlights are on our Meghan, who is certainly not having it easy with her pregnant body. But now it seems like she is hated in the British media and that she can do nothing right anymore. She is being spat out. No one finds her sweet, nice, pretty, and fine anymore.
We think that's a bit too much. We don't know the ins and outs, but we have respect for Meghan who remains true to herself. And after all that criticism, we will stand up for her. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the little prince or princess. May he or she be just like his or her mother.
