The teenage body in size 34 is passé

After spending a week in a treehouse, it was really a bit of an adjustment back to the ‘real world’. Non-stop appointments, having to miss Otis during the day, and being surrounded by laptops and phones again (I seriously had a headache on the first day from constantly looking at that screen). Still, we managed to hold on to some things from our ‘back to basic and nature’: from six o'clock in the evening, no laptops are opened and no phones are looked at, and after an hour of knitting while enjoying Netflix, we are in bed around 9:30 PM. Yes, yes, grandma speaks, but I can tell you that I now stand fit as a fiddle next to my bed at six in the morning to respond to Otis’ morning sounds. Another advantage: my first self-knitted cardigan is almost finished, how cool is that!

Now I really can't complain about my post-pregnancy body, but to be honest: it's not as tight as it used to be... I think it also has to do with the fact that I've now hit 31, so that teenage body in size 34 is a bit passé. I still can't help but look to see if I can get those thighs and butt a bit tighter alongside exercising. I've tried a connective tissue massage a few times, but I was almost hitting the ceiling from the pain. Time for plan B: an LPG treatment at Knap Institute. A kind of little vacuum cleaner is used that has the same effect, only you need a few more treatments. Since the treatment is virtually painless, I'm happily willing to be a bit more patient. I'll of course share the final result with you first.

It's already been over two years since we celebrated our dream wedding in Italy, and for two years I've been planning to make a beautiful photo book as a keepsake. I also intended to make a nice photo book every year with highlights, but now we've been together for 14 years and there are exactly zero books in the cupboard... However, it's never too late to improve your life. I've already made a beautiful book from my pregnancy to the birth, and for a week now, there has been a huge book in the cupboard with all our wedding photos. From now on, I'm really going to make a nice book every year, because let's be honest: how often do you look back at photos from two years ago on your phone?

Otis and I had the honor of posing together for the Grazia Kids Special, and of course, we said yes to that. Everyone was a bit tense about whether it would all work out with Otis, because shooting with a child is as unpredictable as the weather. But when that little one pushed me aside after five minutes to take a photo by himself, everyone was sold. Many models could learn something from these poses. I'm telling you: a born model!
