Orgasm during exercise: it really exists

A rapid heartbeat, gasping for breath, and beads of sweat on your forehead: sex sometimes feels just like a good workout. Including the accompanying muscle soreness in places you didn't know you had muscles. But did you know that you can sometimes compare working out to sex? Yes, we're talking about the sporgasm: an orgasm during exercise.
That the gym can be quite arousing with all those muscular bodies around you is clear, but you can actually climax during your physical exertion. And no, not because you got stuck with your kitty on a machine, but precisely when you're working with weights. Just when you're enjoying training your legs, you start to tremble in that spot where you didn't necessarily expect muscle tension. A 2014 American study shows that one in ten women has experienced this at some point. Speaking of fitness goals...
A bit of dopamine
But how is that possible, climaxing during exercise? You would think that this spontaneous happy ending must have something to do with stimulation of your (external) clitoris, but that doesn't always have to be the case. At least, not directly. According to sex therapist Victoria Zdrok, you can also ‘spontaneously’ climax due to the buildup of tension that occurs in your legs during exercise. It turns out that many women actually need that tension in their legs to be able to climax.. So when extra dopamine and endorphins are released during exercise and you're really going for it in the abs department, it might happen that you suddenly climax. Cycling, running, and yoga can also spontaneously trigger an orgasm. Then you have something to explain to the instructor...
Strong muscles
It's high time to dust off your gym pass, so you can get the most expensive membership... Just realize that you need to be somewhat in shape to be surprised by such a peak during exercise. Your pelvic floor muscles need to be strong enough for such intense contractions. The sporgasm is not called a ‘coregasm’ for nothing. We sense a leg day coming.
