Donald Trump takes aim at Meghan Markle

Last week it was still in the news that Meghan Markle is not making an appearance during the visit of Donald and Melania to the UK, Trump himself is also not that impressed with the Duchess, as recent statements from the president show.
That Meghan is not a big Trump supporter is clear. She publicly supported Hillary Clinton Hillary Clinton during her campaign and called Trump a misogynist in her pre-royal days, accused him of sowing division, and even said she would move to Canada if he won the elections. You could say she is not fond of the American president. The fact that her maternity leave stretches just long enough to avoid him during his visit to the UK is also quite convenient. Thank you, baby Archie, now daddy just has to host lunch at the palace alone.
But Donald Trump made a significant slip regarding Meghan: he previewed his presidential visit to the United Kingdom together with a journalist from The Sun. In this tête-à-tête, he called Meghan ‘nasty’ aka mean. It was of course not intended for the whole world to know this, but The Sun made it public anyway. On Twitter, Trump lashed out about this remark and wanted to label it as fake news. That was too much for the journalist in question, after which The Sun released the audio clip of Trump. With proof, because on that tape, Donald clearly states that he finds Meghan mean.
A small nuance: this happened after the journalist pointed out Meghan's emigration plans to Canada if Trump became president, but still. First claiming it's fake news and then backtracking? Meghan handles it a bit more cleverly: just say nothing and stay on leave a little longer.
