Finally: The Notebook is coming to Netflix

“Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do YOU want?” Jahaa, think about that for a moment. What do you actually want? Well, I can tell you: you want The Notebook to come to Netflix. And YES, that is finally happening. The two ultimate lovebirds (‘If you’re a bird, I’m a bird’ – I can easily quote this movie throughout this entire piece) are finally on display. Starting April 22 then. Allie may have responded to the question I asked with: ‘It’s not that simple’, but oh yes, it is absolutely that simple. We want to cry over Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Sometimes it really is that simple.
I’m probably not the only one who has seen this movie countless times, but isn’t this still the absolute love story? I might even dare to say that it surpasses Titanic, but that could also be because I’m just very happy with this news. A shared first place then perhaps. But who hasn’t watched this movie and hoped to find someone like Noah? Where do you still find someone who writes you a letter every day for a year, who hangs it on a Ferris wheel just to get a date with you? If you know, let me know. When I first saw this movie, I thought this was how love was supposed to be by default. Now I don’t know if the average Dutch man is a bit more stoic (or just less inclined to climb into amusement park rides), but I haven’t run into a Noah yet. But you know, that’s not necessary either. Starting April 22, I’ll just have him for myself again. Because it wasn’t over. It still isn’t over.
