Fittie in Hollywood: Justin Bieber takes a swing at Taylor Swift

Joejoe, ding dong, time for some Monday morning juice. Because yes, there’s another old-fashioned ruckus. In the left corner? Taylor. Right? Justin Bieber. And as it befits a bit of a catfight à la 2019, they are of course fighting it out via Instagram.
Long story short: on Sunday Taylor lashed out at Scooter Braun, the manager of among others Justin Bieber, but also Kanye West and Ariana Grande. Scooter has bought the record label Big Machine Records and has thus become the owner of all the music Swift made until this year in one fell swoop. And there eh, the singer is far from happy, because the two have a history.
In a post on Tumblr, Taylor responds angrily and claims among other things that Braun has been bullying her for years. ‘I only heard about this when the rest of the world did,’ she lets us know about the deal. ‘I immediately thought of the persistent, manipulative bullying from his side that I have been experiencing for years. Scooter has taken my life’s work from me, of which I never had the chance to buy it myself,’ says the 29-year-old. ‘My musical legacy is now in the hands of the one who tried to tear it down. This is my worst-case scenario. Hopefully, a young artist or a child with a dream reads this and learns to better protect themselves during negotiations. You should always own your artistic expressions.’
And well, then Bieber also felt like he was being kicked in the balls. Because it is of course his manager that Taylor is talking about. And so Bieber posted an old photo of him and Taylor again, writing that the singer has crossed a line and that he is disappointed in her for expressing her anger like that on social media. No, Biebs, luckily you don’t do that. That makes a difference. ‘You know that when you post that, your fans will attack Scooter,’ says Bieber. ‘Both Scooter and I have nothing negative to say about you, we genuinely want the best for you.’
Ai. Just put that in your pocket, Taylor. Hailey Baldwin defends her man again under the photo with the text ‘Gentleman’. Thereupon Cara Delevingne felt compelled to attack Biebs (and Hailey) again. ‘Gentleman? @haileybieber @justinbieber you must be bored. You should spend more time understanding women. As a married man, you should uplift women instead of tearing them down because you feel threatened,’ the model responds. ‘This issue that @taylorswift is talking about is much more than a photo and you know that. As you said, you haven’t spoken to her in years, which means you absolutely do not understand the situation. I do. Take a step back and try to learn from this. We should all be on the same team. End of story.’
You understand: this is far from the end of the story. This is going to be a case of online ping pong. I’m ready for Taylor’s response.
