Good good: Katy Perry and Taylor Swift finally bury the hatchet
From BFFs to a silent war to women tearing each other apart in songs and then being able to turn each other's necks: Katy and Taylor have experienced all the critical phases in the ordinary bitch fight. ‘Cause baby now we’ve got bad blood,’ Taylor sang on her previous album about the cooled relationship with her and Katy.
What exactly was going on, Joost knows (the story goes still that Katy had snatched a number of background dancers from her friend), but it seems that a white flag has been waved. In fact: after years of back and forth bickering, the two had an old-fashioned girls night.
Katy posted a photo of a plate of chocolate chip cookies last night and wrote: ‘feels good @taylorswift’. And do we even see a little heart there? Goodness. The plate is topped off with the chocolate text ‘Peace at last’, and whether we are dealing with a publicity stunt out of goodwill for the fans or a genuine reconciliation doesn’t matter for now. The only fact that counts: Kat & Per are a thing again and the fans go crazy.
What I would suggest as a manager? Get into the studio very quickly for a reconciliation album, ladies. You wanna make some money? The time is now. Milk that cow.
