The 6 best food movies to watch tonight
Fridays are for drinks followed by snacks followed by comfort food. Nothing better than curling up on the couch with a plate (forgive me) and putting on a nice movie. And it all tastes even better when that movie is about food. That's why we took a peek at our neighbors from FavorFlav, as they selected 6 movies for you. Personally, I would recommend Chef and Burnt, the rest I will watch this weekend.
Big Night
A hilarious comedy about two brothers who run an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, things aren't going great due to a rival restaurant that is better than theirs. To save the restaurant, they plan an evening to serve amazing food.
Babette’s Feast
In the mood for a bit of drama? In this Danish story about the French refugee Babette, she wins the lottery and wants to thank the sisters who offered her shelter with a dinner. This becomes a dinner to remember.
A literally and figuratively delicious story about a top chef who starts a food truck and travels through the US with it. Starring Jon Favreau, Sophie Vergara, and Scarlett Johansson and a lot of delicious food.
A nice feel-good movie about chef Carl Casper who loses his job and buys a food truck. This is the start of a funny adventure in which he tries to make his food truck successful and reconnect with his family that he left behind during his years as a chef.
Burnt
In Burnt, Bradley Cooper plays a chef who has ruined his career due to drugs and diva behavior. Once back, he tries to prove himself again by running a restaurant and striving for three Michelin stars.
The Hundred Foot Journey
Opposite Madame Mallory's Michelin restaurant, an Indian family moves in and starts a restaurant as well. This is the beginning of a tumultuous relationship between Madame Mallory and the family, but also the start of a good learning experience for all parties. The Hundred Foot Journey is available on Netflix.
Estomago
The world consists of two types of people: those who eat and those who are eaten. Raimundo Nonato tries to find his way in this world by cooking. First, he cooks in a bar, then in an Italian restaurant, and finally in prison. In Estomago, you follow his story.
