For everyone who misses Grey's Anatomy: New Amsterdam is all you need

A still from the series New Amsterdam

Why it's totally okay to still watch Grey’s Anatomy I already told you here, and believe it or not, but we are now six months further and I have watched fourteen seasons (read: a messy three hundred episodes). With a laugh, a tear, sometimes angry at McDreamy, in love with McSteamy, forever team Meredith, crying even more (because OMG: Derek) and finally... Absolutely nothing more. Yes, a gigantic black hole is where I ended up, because I missed my little hospital so much. Until New Amsterdam appeared on Videoland, a fantastic series starring Dr. Max Goodwin, also known as Ryan Eggold. Especially for everyone who misses Grey’s Anatomy: New Amsterdam is all you need.

In short: the story about the New Amsterdam hospital is based on a

true story of Dr. Max Goodwin. In the series, you follow the doctor in the

New York hospital. The first thing this rather handsome doctor does is fire all

the people from the cardiothoracic surgery department. Sounds intense, but he has a

good reason for it. Max wants to take on the doctors in his own hospital to make them realize that patients should come first and the importance of making a profit shouldn't be number 1. A beautiful mission, but this mission is also bizarrely beautiful because Max himself is a cancer patient (which no one knows). He saves lives at all costs and provides his patients with the best possible care. And in combination with (I want to tell everything now but then I spoil way too much) the most insane, thrilling, and saddest moments, New Amsterdam is the series you want to start today. I warn you in advance for the last episode of the first season: you will cry. By the way, I can immediately comfort you with: season 2 is on the way.
