Hi falafel and hummus fans: this is for you

kiki taking her time eating, table full of Lebanese food, the best tips

People are creatures of habit and you often end up in the same restaurant. Right? Is it your turn soon to pick a spot for that girls' night out? Great. Time to shake things up. Time for Lebanese. The creamy sauces, the yogurt dips, the warm pitas: I want it all. And this is where we are eating this summer…

Lebanese restaurant Cedars in Amsterdam

Cedars

Address: Heemstedestraat 80

The hummus with jalapeño, the tabbouleh, the pastries with spinach and walnut, the warm pita bread, the BAKLAVA… Stop looking. All the beauty of Lebanese cuisine can be found here. The chill part is that you can park for free right outside and relax by the water. In the category of ‘most beautiful locations by the water’, Cedars wins hands down.

Lebanese restaurant Comptoire Libanais

Comptoire Libanais

Address: Catharijne Esplanade 49

I was there for the first time last week and let me tell you, it won't be the last. Those of us from Utrecht know that Hoog Catharijne has undergone a mega transformation and that the cool little spots around the station hall are popping up like mushrooms. Comptoir is the perfect stop for a quick lunch, but definitely also for a late-night dinner. Tip: the halloumi salad and the lamb tagine. Extra points: the prices are super cheap.

Le Souq Delfshaven in Rotterdam

Le Souq Delfshaven

Address: Voorhaven 54B

If you're still looking for the best mezzes in Rotterdam: hi. Le Souq is the place you want to be. A great spot by the water that thrives on word-of-mouth from enthusiastic foodies.

Fenicie

Address: Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 11

Also a shared dining concept, and if you ask me, one of the tastiest in Amsterdam. So drag your friend along, order a platter of mazza with a good glass of wine in the sun, and head home satisfied.
