It is possible: having coffee at the Friends café

In the category of life goals, you can soon plop down on the orange couch from Friends for a cup of coffee. To celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of our favorite series, Warner Bros is bringing the coffee shop to life and there is FavorFlavs Tamye putting it mildly, a bit short of breath.

Breathe easy, let it sink in for a moment and don’t pivot. We wrote about it a while ago and our prayers have been answered. This is big news, because since the start of the series in 1994, there has only been one other pop-up. The last time was in NYC, this time fortunately a bit closer to home.

Camera ready?

Central Perk Café will be located in the Primark flagship store in Manchester. The pop-up is a collaboration between Warner Bros and Primark. And besides coffee, there will also be plenty of Friends merchandise for sale. The opening will take place on June 12. Keep your camera at the ready and put on your best #selfieface, because the coffee shop will be an exact replica of the series.

“Joey doesn’t share food”

However, there will be a ‘New York inspired menu’ available at the pop-up, Primark reports. What that exactly entails (and whether there will only be drinks) is not clear. Of course, we secretly hope that Phoebe’s chocolate chip cookies will be on the menu. And if she also comes to sing smelly cat, we will have had our Friends fix for the time being.

“We were on a break”

Maybe not for long, because we have good news! Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) has said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she is open to a Friends reunion. This could mean that the friends might step back into their old roles one more time. As Janice would say: Oh. My. God!
