Lieke has a new love

may in a brown dress against a white wall and lieke and etteke together laughing

At the Televizier-Ring Gala on Wednesday, there was an extremely high concentration of sequins; yesterday at the Waldorf Astoria, an unprecedented number of Chanel bags per square meter was measured. Chantal Janzen, Estelle Cruijff

,Fiona Hering, Jetteke herself, the undersigned; you could almost say that a Chanel bag was the golden wrapper to be allowed to be present. While yesterday was actually about something that belongs to all of us and that we are presented with for free every day: the moon.

Hairdresser does not cut

It all started a year ago when Jetteke was in the Jura and ended up in a village where people lived by the phases of the moon. If it was a bad day to cut, the hairdresser was closed. Jetteke and Lieke, who lived close to nature as children, decided to delve into the moon and what the phases of the moon can mean for you.

30,000 years old

The first moon calendar that has been found is 30,000 years old, and in many cultures, people lived by the phases of the moon. The cycle of a woman lasts 28 days, just like the cycle of the moon. Our body consists of two-thirds water. If the moon can move the sea to ebb and flow with its power, then you might also assume that the phase of the moon influences our character.

The four phases

In the cycle of the moon, there are four phases that all determine how you feel. New moon: a new beginning, a moment to make plans or start something new. Waxing moon: a period of building and strengthening, you are in your power. Full moon: everything reaches a peak, everything is full, your feelings are strong (both positive and negative) and there is unrest in the air. Many babies are often born during the full moon. Waning moon: a period of rest, cleansing, and letting go, time for a big clean-up and a good moment to let go of limiting beliefs.

Even more fun from the sisters

The moon calendar is an old-fashioned tear-off calendar (but a very beautiful one), so you know what the moon phase is each day and what the day is good for. Lieke and Jetteke have given each page a golden edge. Isn't it a particularly sweet idea to send the page of a certain day to someone with whom you experienced a special day on that date? Or you write down what beautiful things happened that day, fold the page into a beautiful origami shape (examples are also in the calendar), and keep those figures in a nice box.

Then something else

The illustrations are by Milou Neelen (Hotel Magique), who also makes the prints for Love Stories, and they are stunningly beautiful. Isn't this the most fun gift for Christmas?

You can order the calendar in many bookstores, but also online at LexmondvsLexmond.com, and you can follow Lieke and Jetteke on

And so I am a fan, but you probably suspected that already.
