Máxima finally reveals what she thinks of the beard
Our king recently has a real beard and that is, well, quite world news. A new look as a monarch, at the age of 52: it is what it is.
Now we finally know what our most beautiful queen Máxima thinks about it. Because we, as Dutch people, have been wondering about that for weeks. Does she like it or not? The king answers that one question with the most beautiful thing he could have answered: ‘You don’t think I would keep a beard if my wife didn’t like it?’ There you go. Touché. He is happy with it then. ‘And shaving also takes less time.’ Ah, the practical side of our Willem.
During the state visit to India, the press can't help but ask Máxima for her opinion as well. ‘It looks very good on him,’ she says. But what they both find a bit less nice about it: ‘It is quite ticklish.’
