My life in Booking.com

One of the few certainties in life is that on Boxing Day, I can be found with my laptop open for at least three hours on Booking.com, trying to plan my year around vacations. That's what I prefer to do, breaking the year into vacations so I can live from one vacation to the next. In the pre-work category, I've just made a selection of what my year would look like if time, distance, and money didn't matter. Because the fun thing about Booking.com is that you can find so much more there than just hotels.

1. Chalet in Chamonix

Just picking the winter with a week of skiing. I do love a ski holiday, but I don't necessarily need to be on the slopes from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. That's why I would like a nice chalet where I can also spend an afternoon lounging on the couch in comfy socks watching Netflix and enjoy a jacuzzi from which I can see Mont Blanc. This is the one.

2. Cottage VillaOne in Seminyak

Whether it will actually happen, I doubt, because Bali is quite a flight away, but dreaming is allowed and how amazing is this cottage in Seminyak, the coolest spot in Bali. Oh, I don't care about that flight, just sleep well and wake up in paradise.

3. Suite471 Keizersgracht

It's really a recommendation to occasionally celebrate a weekend in your own city. Book a tour with a nice city guide, actually go to that museum you've always cycled past, and just join that boat tour. I think it would be nice to live somewhere I dream of: on the Keizersgracht. It can all happen.

4. Four Seasons Resort Marrakech

I really want to go to Morocco with my family, but I also know that they don't necessarily enjoy spending whole days wandering and shuffling through markets and museums. A resort is the perfect setting for our vacation. I don't have to think about anything, and we are right in the middle of this beautiful country.
