Milan Fashion Week: 4 things you really need to know

MFW

From front row goosebumps at Fendi and the most beautiful tribute to fashion king Karl to a bright red Ferrari on a rotating platform at Moschino and the most insane dress from Moncler: these are the four things you really need to know (and especially see), straight from Milano Fashion Week.

1. Goosebumps at Fendi: a tribute to Karl

Fendi honored Karl Lagerfeld, who has been associated with the Italian label since 1967, by projecting backstage footage of the designer along the runway while he created his famous sketches. Combined with models like Gigi and Bella Hadid, Lindsey Wilson, and Kaia Gerber styled in his classic designs with the Baguette bag on the runway, it was a show to never forget, so beautiful.

2. The Moschino play to win game

Jeremy Scott's Moschino shows are always high on camp and clearly linked to a genius theme. This season it’s the big fashion winner thanks to the ‘The Price Is Right’ set, including a bright red Ferrari on a rotating platform, the wheel of fortune, slot machines with the Moschino teddy head, all topped off with models reminiscent of retro Barkers Beauties.

3. For the chilly: the puffer ball gown from Moncler

Pierpaolo Piccioli collaborated especially with Liya Kebede and her Ethiopian line for the chilly among us. Dozens of models walked into Via Ferrante Aporti in gigantic puffer creations. Not just an oversized winter coat or huge blanket, but an insane puffer ball gown is what the fashion crowd was shown. Let that winter sleep come.

4. The Gucci show was a masked ball

And read here what the fashion crowd thought of it.
