Must visit: Pamukkale in Turkey

My discovery of the year was Hillside Beach in Turkey, a (really, I'm not lying) almost heavenly place where the return rate is so high that Harvard even did research on it. Turkey has since firmly returned to my map. I definitely want to go to Istanbul and someone also tapped me on the shoulder about Pamukkale.
When I started googling, I thought only: how is this possible? Pamukkale is loosely translated as ‘castle of cotton’ and it looks like that too. It resembles a snowy waterfall or lakes lined with large balls of cotton. But actually, it’s due to the calcium carbonate in the water that flows along the terraces and deposits lime, making you feel a bit like Elsa in Frozen.
Do pay attention when you visit Pamukkale, because you are supposed to follow the official path to see the wonder of the world (it is on the World Heritage List). And do take off your shoes when walking on it, no joke.
