New trend: one night a week completely wild with drinks

A couple of glasses of wine to toast

You can nicely not drink for a month but honestly: what do you gain from it?

You think: I will lose weight. That doesn't happen. You think: that's good for my body. It is true, but it makes little sense if after those thirty days you drink yourself back into misery. You think: it's trendy. But no, it's not that anymore. Forget Dry September and Sober October: from now on you can just drink fine every week.

The new trend is actually to drink less alcohol. Not participating in every glass of wine. Not just having a bite to eat outside on Tuesday and ordering a glass of red. No beer at football on Wednesday. No cheers after the sports class, the tennis match, the dance performance, or the exams you passed. You drink consciously, if you want to be cool. The latest trend therefore means: limit your alcohol consumption to one day a week. Drink a few glasses on one day and secretly a bit more and keep yourself calm for the rest of the week. No hangovers during the week, just a party on Friday or Saturday. And that's allowed. Then you can also be hungover. But after that, it's done until that week later.

Why does this work better than a sober month? Because you can maintain this all year round. No more drinks without thinking about it, but give yourself one rule: keep it to one day a week. Do you have a big party on Thursday? Too bad, then you stay good at the water over the weekend. You can still go to more drinks or parties, but you consciously choose an alcohol-free drink. Your liver also definitely needs a few days to recover from a wild night, so it's much better for your body. It also makes you a happier person. Good, we know that now.

The wise lesson you have learned? One night wild, the other six nights like an angel on the bench. Not a punishment either, that cup of tea when it's drizzling outside?
