Must visit: the glass beach in California

A beach of glass, it sounds painful for the little feet but it is enormously photogenic. California is where you need to be for this unique phenomenon, in Fort Bragg to be more precise.
The origin of the glass beach is unfortunately much less beautiful than it looks. At the beginning of the last century, the residents of Fort Bragg dumped household waste over the cliff north of the village, which then washed ashore. It is said that even cars were pushed into the sea, Meine gute. The villagers tried to clean up the beach more often, but it didn't work, until in 1967 nature itself did the work. The waves cleaned the beach, resulting in finer beach glass. Go see it and especially don't take any pebbles home, because then there will be nothing left but sand.
