Oh yes: Dead To Me has been renewed for a second season

I might as well put that TV out with the bulk waste. Okay, I do watch Netflix on my TV, but the last time I really watched a show was quite a while ago, I must say. Except for Love Island I don't really sit in front of the screen anymore. Only for quality TV, so... But well, watching TV isn't really necessary, since Netflix provides so many series that I'm almost running out of time. Lately, there have been a lot of intense series (When They See Us for example: highly recommended), so a nice comedy was quite welcome. Hello there, Dead To Me.

Yes, because I really think Dead To Me is a fun comedy series. It's a bit of a shame that the first season only had ten episodes (I'm more of a fan of seasons with 20+ episodes), but we can certainly look forward to it: that second season is coming. Oh yes. The only thing is that we still have to wait a little while, reportedly the second season will be released next year on the favorite streaming service. And this second season will again consist of ten episodes.

If you've already seen all ten episodes (understandable), you probably saw that second season coming. The first season ended with quite a cliffhanger – spoilers incoming, because what exactly happened between Steve and Jen (Christina Applegate)? And that Steve, he clearly kicked the bucket. And now? I'm 100% convinced that they want to make that body disappear. I also bet that we will be treated to the surveillance footage of this incident in season 2; it had just been installed.

And then of course the question of whether they will get away with it. The police have already visited Jen and Judy (Linda Cardellini) a few times, so it's just a matter of time. In any case, there is enough material for a second season, because I have a lot of questions.

Need a refresher or a final push to binge this series? I got you. Dead To Me is about the friendship between Judy and Jen, who met in a grief support group. They have both lost their husbands and each have their own way of coping with it. Jen absolutely does not want to talk about it, Judy talks way too much. Add to that that Judy turns out to have a not-so-kosher past and that she moves in with Jen and voilà: you have the plot of Dead To Me. And that second season, oh man, I can't wait.
