You get a lump in your throat, you get a lump in your throat and you! Sexual abuse in the music industry is no longer a taboo. Look at the allegations surrounding Michael Jackson and R. Kelly. Where there is power, abuse lurks. And leave it to Oprah to knock down sacred cows. Filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering direct the documentary, which centers on a former manager in the music world who is unsure whether to come forward with her experiences of abuse. Not much is really known yet, the creators call the new doc: “a deep investigation into the role of race, gender, class, and the interplay between them, and into the consequences of abuse for the victims and society as a whole.” A deal with Apple seems to be the case, the film will only be broadcast on streaming platform Apple+. When the doc will be aired is not yet known, but you get it: we want to see this. Keep you posted.
