Our national reprimand: this means to act in a Dutch way

In its Greek, in its Russian and French, every country has its own position, we were a bit lacking in that department. You could say that the reputation in the sexual field is therefore rather limited, but Durex rallied 40,000 people to change this and choose the national sex position. I think we can still refine the name a bit, but thank goodness the position is not too no-nonsense, that would completely damage our image. Hold on tight, in Dutch it has become: spijkerpoepen. Well.

Anyone who is visually oriented can immediately picture this and understands roughly what it means, it is the reverse cowgirl. Sexologist Kaat Bollen explains: “The reverse cowgirl is a position that offers a small twist on the normal cowgirl: the woman turns around.. This makes this position both familiar (because women on top is a classic, of course) and yet innovative; an easy way to bring variety to your sex life! Moreover, this position is ideal for the woman to simultaneously stimulate her clitoris, which significantly increases the chance of an orgasm for both partners. The woman also has the reins in this position: she determines the pace and depth of penetration. So not only a very Dutch position, but also a very feminist one!”

An election wouldn’t be an election if there was nothing to choose from. You also had the Forbidden Tulip (?), the Milk Stool (??) and the Windmill (???). Because I know you want to know too, here are the optional positions in cute Delft blue. And to keep it especially patriotic with each other, Durex has also made a set of limited edition condoms. Did you know that more than two out of three Dutch people had unsafe sex last year? Mamma mia. So if you’re going to do the spijkerpoepen a.k.a. doing it the Dutch way, make sure to double dutch, okay?
