Single in the summer? It's good for you and here's why

No beloved sitting at home on the couch? Don't worry. Because it's July.

And that's really good for you, being single while the weather is warm outside. Here's the thing. As a single man or woman, you tend to go out more often because you want to meet someone nice to, well, occasionally share the bed with. And in the summer, everyone wants to go out, so that's a win. The chance of meeting someone truly nice is much greater in the summer. There are more fish to choose from in the pub. In winter, it's a meager pond, but just look now. People are more inclined to date in July than, for example, in rainy and cold November. We get it. Then we also want to lie solo on the couch under a fake fur blanket.

And that's not all. Your friends are more eager to go out with you when the weather is nice, so you have plenty of distractions and enthusiasm for a wild weekend away. Hop, everyone out of their hole and on the hunt. There's plenty to ogle, by the way, with all the bare clothing. Research from Parship also shows that one in three singles falls in love faster in the summertime. Logical, because we are also a lot happier in the summer. And then we are more open to love. Add to that your tanned face that makes you just a bit more confident, and you're there.

As a single, you feel, in short, a lot less alone and sad in the summer. There are already 92 festivals every weekend to choose from, so what more do you want? Plenty of parties, plenty of long days to fill with drinks, good conversations, and chances. Before you know it, a lovely new love will join you at the Christmas dinner. Yes, that's already in five months again. Sorry. We don't want to spoil your summer fun, of course.

Anyhow, enjoy being outside because that love is really in the air right now. And it's not autumn until September 23 this year. Just saying.
