The 10 benefits of being small

At one meter sixty-six, I am quite the Calimero. I also feel a bit intimidated by those Big Friendly Giants around me. Well, intimidated, I'm just jealous because I would have loved to have those infinity legs. But unfortunately, I was at the front of the line when God handed out the goat legs. Oh well, there are also advantages to that compact build. Here are the ten advantages of being small:
1. For example, when I fly, I can lounge in my seat with my legs stretched out without kicking the feet of the person in front of me. With the average GVR, the knees poke into the armpits the entire flight.
2. Stilettos are often not an option for 1.75+, because then they look even taller. While life is really more fun on a little heel.
3. During man scanning, height is much more of a topic when you are also tall. I've never been put off by someone because they are shorter than me. That's almost impossible for me, I know.
4. Or during a conversation. Then the GVR in question has to bend down to understand me. I already get neck pain just looking at it.
5. Apparently, because I luckily never have a problem with it, the taller ones sometimes don't fit in a hotel bed. Terrible, those frozen feet.
6. Flared jeans always fit. By the way, they make your legs look even longer. No fuss with tailors who need to take in the waist or attach a piece of fabric to the leg.
7. When you suddenly have to limbo dance while very drunk. You remain the last in the race with those short legs.
8. You look younger. I don't experience this as an advantage yet, because being estimated at 12 is not necessarily a compliment. But just wait until I hit 40 and everyone thinks I'm 27. Victory.
9. Being lifted by a man, I think that looks very sweet. If you are under 1.70.
10. Short legs often mean small feet. And then you can shop in the children's department of brands like Nike and save 40 euros on a pair of sneakers. Winning.
I correct the Calimero quote: ‘I am small and you are big and that is actually perfectly fine.’
