Not that I always cook from it, but I do leaf through it. Cookbooks. I have stacks of them. I find them a jewel for my china cabinet. Of my entire collection, the cookbooks by Sergio are my favorite. I even cook from them, tsss. It can't get much crazier. Thanks to Sergio, I have spices in my cupboard that I didn't even know existed.

I really want to know where Sergio took his time management course, because besides The Jane, his Frites Atelier and Pure C, there is now another new cookbook and it is fan-tas-tic.

The nice thing about this cookbook is that it is completely focused on Ibiza, the island where Sergio married his Ellemieke and where he spends his happy days in the sun. Flip through the cookbook and you'll be there for a moment too.

Sobremesa it's called, and that is loosely translated from Spanish as an endless lunch that slides into dinner. Occasionally a dip, a child on your lap, a word, a toast.

With photos and recipes, Sergio takes you to his Ibiza and I tell you: you want to go there and you never want to go home again.
