Kate and William's elite group of friends; who are the Turnip Toffs anyway?

Because Kate and Wills are not aliens, they also have a close group of friends. Perhaps a bit different from yours and mine, as the group has a real nickname and they are actually exclusively from well-to-do backgrounds. But who are the Turnip Toffs?

The elite clique is just as notorious and famous, but became a bit more notorious and famous due to the alleged affair of heir William with one of Kate's best friends (and indeed a member of the Turnip Toffs). She seems to have been unceremoniously booted from the select club. Let's zoom in on them.

The friend group from Norfolk got their nickname because they are landowners in the English countryside or (much fancier) the English countryside. ‘Toffs’ is how the British Tatler refers to the wealthy. William and Kate have a nice residence in Norfolk, called Anmar Hall, about a three-hour drive from London. The estate is quite a generous gift from grandma, better known as Queen Elizabeth, to William for his thirtieth birthday. It covers about 20,000 acres, has ten bedrooms, and a tennis court to play a nice game. It seems that the residences of the other Turnip Toffs are not inferior to those of Kate and Wills, by the way.

Who are they? A select company of lords, countesses, marquesses, and high-ranking individuals, if we may refer to them somewhat irreverently. For example, there is Marquis David Rocksavage, Marchioness Rose Hanbury, William van Cutsem (the godfather of Prince George), Earl and Countess Coke of Holkham, Laura Fellowes (Wills' cousin), The Meades, Sophie Carter, and the other Carters, and more. And they are all neighbors who enjoy spending time together. The group is filled with titles, achievements, well-to-do backgrounds, and loads and loads of money. David and Rose are seen as the leaders of the group, although William and Catherine are of course the most important.

One source says it’s all quite Downton Abbey over there in Norfolk. Luxurious dinners, casual picnics, a bit of hunting, some fishing, intelligent word games, and charades (Kate's favorite, apparently). But recently, some cracks have appeared on the surface, as Marchioness Rose has been ousted thanks to Catherine, even though William was willing to mediate between the two. The group is loyal to the future queen, and as a result, the Marchioness has gained a ‘can’t sit with us’ status.
