The feature you need on Instagram thanks to Dreetje Hazes

Yes, I never could have imagined that I would ever type this as a title. But here we are. There’s quite a buzz around Hazes Junior and his Monique, even on the worldwide web of course. He receives quite a few unfiltered reactions on Instagram under photos, but Dreetje has solved that for him. You can only allow comments from your friends on Instagram. And you can count on your friends, so those comments are allowed.

How it works. You can completely shut down the comment box because you just don’t feel like any feedback. Although that’s less fun, because we could all use a heart or some love. Then there’s the second option: filtering comments by keywords. For example, if someone always greets you with that one hateful word, you can just filter that out. So, the function of André, only allowing comments from your inner circle.

How to do it. Go to Settings in Instagram, then to Privacy and there you’ll see the section Comments. Voilà: a whole menu of what-to-allow-and-what-not to choose from. Thanks, Dré, exactly what we needed.
