These are the richest rappers on earth

Jay Z laughing with Usher and other rappers on the red carpet

When Forbes comes out with lists, we start to drool. Because who are the rich stinkers under 30 and which kids have more millions than they can count? Being a rapper turns out to be quite lucrative, as this is the richest rappers in the world and we can say they are doing quite well.

5. Drake

It's unbelievable how much money you can earn by not showing up at a concert. At 32 years old, he has doubled his fortune in the past year and now has 150 million dollars in his account.

Does this surprise you? No, not really, right? We all know that Kanye West is bipolar, but you can really see narcissism in his behavior. For years, he spoke before his big meltdown about his ego in interviews and on social media. It has a bit of Charlie Sheen quality, always calling himself the 'greatest artist to ever live.' He even compares himself to Michelangelo and Pablo Picasso. And if you see how he treats Kim Kardashian... Well, that says enough. Really narcissistic behavior. Everything revolves around him; he is the best and therefore deserves all the attention. I mean: why would you make a hologram of your wife's dead father and only have him praise you? That's just so egocentric. And anyone who contradicts that? Is a liar or wants to sabotage him. Of course, many of these actions stem from his bipolar disorder, but yes, it is really the recipe for a narcissist.

Good for 240 million dollars, but it seems it could even run into the billions because his Yeezy collection for Adidas is estimated at a meager 1.5 billion. Forbes estimates Kim at about 67 million, that's quite a nice income.

3. Diddy

Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, or it’s probably something like that at the moment, but what we can say for sure is that he has cash. This is due to his quite lucrative job for the vodka brand Ciroc. The expectation is that he will quickly surpass Dr. Dre. At this moment, we estimate the amount at a not insignificant 740 million dollars.

2. Dr. Dre

The Godfather of gangsta rap, they also call Dre. I had forgotten about him for a moment, but when I heard No Diggity and California Love, I remembered. Dr. Dre is good for 800 million dollars. I suspect he is cashing in on Spotify playlists in one of his houses for old times‘ sake.

1. Jay-Z

Beyoncé's man is the very first hip-hop billionaire ever with an estimated worth of about 1 billion dollars. Not to be confused with euros, because in our currency, Jay-Z is ‘only’ worth 890 million euros. Shawn Carter has his money invested in villas, an extensive art collection, he has shares in Uber and owns a champagne brand and streaming service Tidal. Additionally, he makes extra money from the rights to his own music.

Moral of the story: we should have become rappers.
