Amayzine
This is how to impress during a job interview

My dream job. I landed it. Writing for Amayzine was something I wanted to do when they opened the editorial doors five years ago. ‘You have luck on your backside ,’ I heard recently. Yes and no, because you have to force luck. And that dream job too. This will help you with that:
- To stick to my Amayzine application: I know the site from start to finish and have been reading it every day for five years. I figured out which articles score, have sifted through all the magazines, and know what language is spoken here (for example, that you spray perfume and not squirt it).
- Of course, you will give a golden summary of what you have to offer, but you also come across as more awake if you inquire about what an employer has to offer you.
- Before I got in touch with May, I sat at another interview table. I had released a SWOT on company X. A strength/weakness analysis, remember? I explained why the positioning needed to change. The right-hand person of the director leaned over the table and whispered to me: ‘I feel exactly the same.’ Score.
- You need to prepare yourself 300 percent for such a conversation, so you can tackle every question. Still, you can also ask about the calling of a company.
- Present yourself as eager. Ask about the growth opportunities and the timeline for when that will happen.
- What do you do on Friday afternoons? Let it be known that you want to become a member of a team and not just show up from 9 to 5.
And then there are also things you shouldn't do:
- Starting to talk about vacation days, working hours, overtime, and salary. You can address that in conversation two or three times.
- Not very handy if you arrive late. I sat for three quarters of an hour in the local neighborhood café before my Amayzine interview started. Anything is better than arriving late for your first interview.
