This is how you do Lowlands Light

I think half of the Netherlands is still recovering from last weekend: my entire timeline was filled with people who went wild at Lowlands. For the past two years, we were allowed to play with Bouillabaisse in the Juliet tent, and this year I could finally go to the festival recreationally. But yes, now pregnant it didn't seem like a good plan to stand there partying in the rain for a whole weekend, so Jon and I did ‘Lowlands light’ and only went on Sunday. We started in the lovely Samsung corner, where all my music was played and there was a non-stop long line of people craving some ‘food’ for their phones. Then we enjoyed Zoutmus and Kasper van der Laan, finishing off with A$AP Rocky: everyone went completely wild. Completely exhausted, we drove home around midnight after a great lightning visit. I'm afraid you could have literally swept us up if we had stayed longer than a day.

Jon and I have always been strict about our weekly ‘date night’ since Otis arrived, but the past few weeks we've been slacking a bit: our schedules are so full that around six o'clock we already feel a significant dip, leading us to decide together to go to bed around nine and be very happy about it. But the next morning, we are the laughing third, as Otis wants to start the day at six and we can join in fresh and fruity. Those mornings have become a bit of our new quality time moments: everyone is still asleep, but the three of us are already fully enjoying the day.

That pregnancy fatigue lasts a lot longer than last time... That's not so strange with a little one running around now, but I could plan my schedule a bit less full. Fortunately, I have very nice pregnancy vitamins from Vitamama, which really give me more energy. During the pregnancy of Otis I took so many different pills, but now all the necessary vitamins and minerals are packed in one bag. And that's quite handy, since I can be quite forgetful and might forget a jar...
