Give your book the title ‘How many legs does an octopus have?’ and I want to read it. Now it may have to do with the fact that I recently saw them live while snorkeling in the Aegean Sea, but that seems to me only a better reason. Flip van Doorn and Jonah Kahn wrote this book with a source of useless knowledge. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's knowledge and it should be as useless as possible. There was even a philosopher (Bertrand Russell to be precise) who claimed that you became a better person from useless knowledge. Because is it table tennis or ping pong? What does Chief Mouser actually do at Downing Street 10? Who invented the space? And did you know that we Dutch funded the Brandenburg Gate? I find it all very wise to know.
