A chocolate fondue at the chocoa festival

I have a friend who would rather eat chocolate than have sex. I would say that one does not necessarily exclude the other, because I cannot really imagine life without both. My ideal Sunday afternoon is spent in front of the fireplace with a chunk of chocolate in front of me and a glass of Amarone nearby. Oh no, I don't drink for a while. But still, it is my ideal Sunday afternoon. Anyway.

I know you are chocolate lovers, because no matter what we post about Tony's Chocolonely or a new flavour of M&Ms, the visitor numbers catapult towards Jupiter. That's also why I'm sure this is for you. A festival. About chocolate. With wine. And with Janny van der Heijden. And with tasting. And with making your own bar (also fun if you have children) or painting with chocolate. As if it were all not fun and festive enough, it also takes place in the Beurs van Berlage. Come there for a change. My idea is as follows: you book a fun day out with a friend to Amsterdam. By train, because parking is a crime and expensive. On the way back to the station, you make a stop at the chocolate festival. There you taste, drink, create and are also told about what is so nicely called ‘making the chocolate chain sustainable’. Because we do want everyone in the ‘chocolate curve’ to be as happy with it as you are while eating it. Now you want to know when it is. 23 and 24 February. In the crocus holiday, that is. What more could a person want?
