Tomorrow is still one warm day: then winter begins

I'm a bit of a weather nerd, sorry, honestly confessed. As soon as I read something about white Christmases, heatwaves, tornadoes, and cold records, I'm in. I love the weather.
Anyone in the mood for warm sweaters and thick winter coats: we have great news for you. It will still be nicely warm tomorrow, around twenty degrees. Long-skirt-and-boots weather. But after that, those summer jokes are over. Winter is coming for you.
Normally, at the beginning of October, it's around fifteen degrees. We're well above that now, but that fun will be completely over from Wednesday. Winter is about to begin, according to meteorologists. The chance that we'll still reach around twenty degrees after tomorrow is really tiny. ‘In October, it definitely won't happen anymore,’ say the weather experts at RTL. And there's not much to say about November yet, but come on, that hasn't happened in ages, a summer day in the second to last month of the year. So better prepare for snow, cold, frost, scraping, freezing, and ice fingers, because winter is coming. And spring... is still very. very. far. away.
I've calculated it for you and spring starts on March 20, 2020. That's in 158 days. To be precise, in 3,779 hours. YAY. Are you crying yet?
Oh, don't worry, winter has its charms too. Just think of those romantic flakes falling from the sky and the crackling fireplace and the Christmas tree with 84 pink balls in the house. The chance of a white Christmas? Hard to say, but since the last one was in 2010 and they do occur every ten years, it could very well happen again this year. And in 72 days, it's already Christmas. In 1,715 hours, to be precise. Great, also nice, right?
Sounds a bit less depressing than those 158 days and that whole far-off March story. Just give me that All I want for Christmas.
