True or false: in January people break up

There is turmoil in the Galjaard-Van Dijk household, Filemon and his girlfriend have been apart for a while, Nicolette Kluijver launched news about her and the doctor and quickly retracted it, writers Kluun and Saskia Noort are not really made for each other, Linda and RTL are getting a divorce... I am waiting for the earthquake that someone in my inner circle throws in the towel, even though I wouldn't know who. But is it just me or is the whole world getting divorced in January?
I had to check that for you, of course. September seems to be popular, as couples have just smashed each other's brains in on vacation, but January is not lagging behind. In December, we still go into a bit of a peace and quiet mode during the Christmas dinner and in January it’s over, basta. That’s why it’s also the month that unofficially is called the divorce month. The Divorce Monitor (yes, your divorce is being monitored) even says that January has more divorces than marriages. The CBS is also looking into marriage and about 40 percent are currently divorcing. And we haven't even mentioned the people who are not officially connected.
