Tomorrow I step onto the plane towards Dubai. Nine days of sun, sea, and beach is what’s on the agenda. We do leave the hotel every now and then to go shopping or to play the tourist for a bit, but mainly we’re going to do absolutely nothing. What’s the most important thing during a doing-nothing vacation? The hotel. After a few evenings of looking and comparing, the Rixos Premium resort is the winner.

Jumeirah Beach Residence is said to be the place to be. I look out from my hotel room at the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai Eye (Insta goals), but especially the food here is top-notch: giant pancakes, insane freakshakes, sushi bowls, cocktails, burgers, fruit, juices, nachos… Oh guys, I’m going to test everything for you.
