perfume Chanel 1957

In terms of perfume, I am quite accustomed and spoiled, that too. So when you are lifted and keep smelling your own wrist, you know it's spot on. Chanel 1957 (named after the year in which Gabrielle Chanel was declared the most influential fashion designer of the 20th century in America) has it all. It is an ‘Exclusif’ so it is only available in the boutique and at the Bijenkorf and also created by house perfumer Olivier Polge (whom I had the pleasure of meeting last June during one of my most beautiful press trips of the year). When I dive into the attached literature, I understand what attracts me so much: the eight white musk species. I have a thing for musk scents. They are soft, fresh, and clean. You smell musk, vanilla, and honey, but also cedarwood and pink pepper, making it not too woolly but still fresh. Really a perfume to welcome spring with. Before you know it, it will be here. And, also a great suggestion for a Valentine's gift.
