Ask a makeup artist what they typically have in their bag and the answer will be nine times out of ten the Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden. This favorite ointment has won twenty international awards, so it certainly doesn't come out of nowhere.
The story? The cream was developed in 1930 by, of course: Elizabeth Arden. She wanted a product that would give you a soft, shiny little skin would get. A lady applied it to her horse's injured knee and within eight hours it was healed. Wound gone. Hence the name Eight Hour Cream.
Due to the combination of various ingredients (including vitamin E), the skin heals very quickly. While we mainly apply this favorite to dry lips (read: six tubes on different desks), the cream is also used to comb eyebrows into a nice shape, calm frizzy hair, as a highlighter on the cheekbones and for a shine on the eyes. Eight Hour Cream then. Maybe you already knew this classic, but if not: buy it. You will be forever grateful to Elizabeth.
