To get straight to the point: my last time in London was (at least) ten years ago. Which is of course something to be ashamed of, because London is practically around the corner. People treat London as if they are just picking up a bunch of flowers in the next village. But now it's almost time, because soon the train will take you from Amsterdam to London in four hours and then I won't have any excuses left. What are we waiting for? The bosses still need to haggle a bit about border controls and give the green light for the connection. The online agenda says April 6th and then we will be in the heart of London in four hours and ten minutes with Eurostar. They currently run three times a day via Brussels, but the plan is to increase that to five direct connections. Which is good, because then we can just leave the plane behind. Just calculate: you need to be at an airport two hours in advance, and there goes your four hours already. I'm going to check if there's a nice little hotel available in London in April.
