No matter how attached I am to my own house and my own bed, I always find sleeping in a hotel to be a treat. Especially if it's in a city I've wanted to visit for a long time and definitely if the hotel itself is very special. As we speak, I am on my way to Dublin and counting down to when I will taste my first Guinness — I have honestly never had one before. But I won't skip the Irish whiskey either, and I have gathered a whole list of tips that I must and will visit. At least, if I can get out of the hotel. Because I am staying at the Aloft hotel, which is very special. Why? Well, for example, because your room service is delivered by your own house robot, ‘Lofty’, and because you have to place your order by sending a WhatsApp emoji. Or because you enter your room by scanning a QR code. Hmm, or maybe it's the rooftop lounge bar. Upon further reflection, I am actually counting down until I can experience all of this myself. That Guinness can wait. Dublin, I’m coming for you.
