Why we love Philips even more

artists Ahoy Rotterdam Young Impact Philips

Making life better, even if it's with small steps, that's what Philips believes in. That's why they are, as it is beautifully put, Proud Partner of the Young Impact Awards. Awards that are given to young people who have taken a step to do something for the world or for another. Young Impact. This is how Teun Toebes (19) creates ‘moments of happiness’ for people with dementia by making creative video content for them.

Ester van der Wal and Soraya Omtzigt were also praised for organizing a vegetarian week at school. Anouar El Addouti dedicated himself to young people living in poverty or with a disability. Through sports and training, he brings his neighborhood together.

Nicole Derix and Stephanie Moonen give workshops to improve youth care.

The afternoon was presented by Gwen van Poorten and Nesim Najih. Rico Verhoeven presented the George Maduro prize to Teun Toebes. Music was provided by Boef, Famke Louise, and Broederliefde.

The best part is that you couldn't buy tickets for it. Tickets are exclusive for those young people who participate by taking on a challenge. How can you do that? By taking a step to make the world a better place. Making an impact. Even if it's just a little bit.

Will I see you there next year?
