Yes, the first trailer and release date of The Hills 2.0 are known

Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window…. Oh yes, we can sing along again. The first trailer of The Hills: New Beginnings is out and let's immediately give the revealing word: it seems that Unwritten is going to be the song of the series again. Relief, right? I thought so too. But there is more good news. Finally, a date is known when we The Hills 2.0 can start watching. It will premiere on June 24 in the USA. That is a bit of a disappointment because that still takes a while, but we do know after a very long wait when we can expect Heidi, Audrina, and co again.
And as you might already know, there are also some additions to the cast. I personally find it an inexplicable addition, but that doesn't make it any less fun: Mischa Barton is completely on board this season. From The OC to party girl to The Hills. For a moment, it seemed like she was going to take the Lindsay Lohan route, but she is back on the straight path. Even though they now have in common that they both star in an MTV series. All's well that ends well for both ladies, shall we say.
What else can we expect? My personal favorite Brody Jenner makes his appearance (will he finally admit that the whole relationship with Lauren was fake? We will see), but also old acquaintances Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler, and Justin Bobby are joining. Will Audrina fall for Justin Bobby again? God, I hope so. The trailer at least shows a dinner between these two. It can't be anything but drama, of course. And yes, Whitney Port is back from The City (has anyone watched that series? I don't think the ratings were ever very good). She wants to share something about the upcoming The Hills, according to her it is absolutely, totally not scripted. Hm-hm, sure, Whit. We don't believe any of that, but we will watch anyway.
And well, let's talk about the inevitable subject… Lauren, or LC, our all-time favorite, really isn't coming back. We can hope for a cameo and we do, of course, but that is probably really not going to happen. Bummer. Shall we place a bet on what kind of weird antics Heidi and Spencer will pull? Will he still keep all those diamonds? How many procedures will Heidi have had by then? And what kind of parents will they be for their child? So. Many. Questions. And now together: the rest is still unwritten.
Oh yes, if you're still looking for an activity until June 24: email, write, call MTV when we can expect The Hills 2.0. As I said, it will be released in the USA in the summer, but from Dutch MTV, it remains quiet. Persistence pays off, it seems to me in this situation, so stalk that thing.
