12 ways from the experts to upgrade your immunity

Normally, your immunity was only a thing when flu season was approaching or someone was complaining about the R in a month. Those days, that is quite different in 2020. Now, you are either blessed with strong immunity at birth or one that sadly fails, and there’s little you can do about it. What you can do? Do as much as possible to boost your immunity. These are tips from the experts, and if it’s good enough for the expert, then it works for us too.

1. Develop a sleep routine
Get up at the same time as much as possible and go to bed around the same hour. Do this especially more accurately if you feel like you’re starting to feel unwell.

2. Get outside
Make sure you spend at least thirty minutes outside every day for some daylight. So don’t wait until the evening for a walk, but do this when the sun rises.

3. Eat products with magnesium
Stir-fry spinach, cook beans, or eat nuts. Magnesium helps relax your body and mind, making your sleep even better. All flies in one bite.

4. Sleep with the window open
Make sure your room is nice and cool, even if it might be a bit chilly when you go to bed.

5. Go with the flow regarding sleep
Of course, a rhythm is nice, but don’t panic if you fall asleep too early or can’t sleep long enough in the morning. Worrying about sleep is more exhausting than not having it.

6. Be a little grateful
Take a moment each day to think about what makes you happy. By being grateful for what you have, you are less dissatisfied, and being less dissatisfied is good for your mind.

7. Focus on what you want to do today
It doesn’t help to worry about what you need to finish later; that only causes stress. Focus on today.

8. Share your secrets
It doesn’t really matter with whom, but speak them out: it reduces stress.

9. Don’t worry about the future
Live in the now. Someone once said to me: was that event really as bad as you thought beforehand? And the answer is almost always no.

10. Set a sports goal for yourself if your routine falters
Are you feeling less inclined to hit the gym every day or run that five kilometers? Set a goal to work towards; this will help you get motivated again.

11. Move every day for 20-30 minutes
Don’t slump behind that desk, but try to get up every half hour and do something. This can be a half hour of running, but just stretching and walking around the office is also sufficient.

12. Don’t push your body
Of course, you need to move, but don’t push your body to the limit if it doesn’t feel good. Just opt for a half hour of walking, which also works wonders for your immunity.
