5 cleaning tricks that you really didn't know

A day off booked, beach bag packed and then... no sun. What am I saying? Rain. What do you do then. Well, I’m going to tidy up my closets. And organize. And scour the internet for tidying tips from the Marie Kondo’s among us that I didn’t know yet. They made me and my closet deeply happy. Probably you too.

1. 2 hanging rods on top of each other

Nice, a hanging closet, but there’s always a part above and a part below that you don’t use. So hang two rods on top of each other in your closet. The top one you give a bit more space; that’s for your dresses and pants, the bottom one for the shorter items – like skirts and shorts.

2. Rails on the inside of your door

And on those rails, you attach your heels. This way you suddenly have a lot of space for your shoes and can just go buy new shoes.

3. Hang two hangers together

This creates a second level. Hang your jacket on one hook and the shirt you want to wear with it on the other hook, for example. Super handy.

4. Shower curtain hooks on a hanger

Do you know those plastic hooks that you use to attach a shower curtain to the rod? Well, you click those onto a hanger and then thread your scarves around it. Handy, right?

5. The trick with the rubber band

Do you also often have woolen cardigans falling off the hanger? Then here’s your million-dollar solution. Wrap a rubber band around the end of your hanger and you have grip. On your hanger, your closet, your life.

Child, you’re almost happy that it’s raining. Will you send me a photo of your closet?
