6 recipes that will make you want a waffle maker now

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: recipes for a waffle maker.
Do you have a waffle maker? Lucky you! Because with this device, you really don't just put Liège (or Brussels) waffles on the table, although you should definitely do that often. You can also make these surprising things with it, each one more delicious than the other.
So if someone accuses you next time of having too much kitchen equipment lying around, just quickly serve them one of those amazing banana bread waffles and it will be silent immediately. Or something else from this list:
Pizza waffle
Super easy and healthier than pizza rolls from the supermarket: a thin piece of pizza dough, some tomato sauce, mozzarella or cheese of your choice, toppings that make you happy (’nduja for me!), and another thin layer of dough. Easy and delicious.
Good start
You can even, here it comes, make healthy breakfast waffles. Make a batter from oat flour (easy to make yourself by grinding oat flakes); this is a good gluten-free recipe from Cookie and Kate. Top with fruit and you're ready for your day.

Healthy waffles; good start!
Bacon
Of course, you can also add bacon to those healthy breakfast waffles. And you can make them just as easily in the waffle maker. You immediately get a nice crispy pattern in it. Saves a splatter pan, and handy if you can't bake your bacon in the oven for once.
Potato pancakes
But then potato iron cookies, because you simply put the pureed dough for these healthy but comforting snacks in the waffle maker. Follow this recipe for potato pancakes and bake them in the iron until golden brown instead of in a pan. Delicious with Appenzeller® cheese. You can also vary with sweet potato and add herbs like rosemary or cayenne pepper.
Mac & cheese waffles
As if ‘regular’ mac & cheese isn't brilliant enough, I say. It is of course, but just imagine that there is also a ridiculously delicious crispy golden brown crust on both sides... Oh, you can't hear me anymore because you're getting your waffle maker out of the cupboard...

Mac & cheese waffle = ultimate comfort food
Hash browns
Related to the aforementioned potato pancakes, but made from raw grated potatoes instead of mashed cooked potatoes. Still one of the ultimate hangover breakfasts, especially if you also add a lot of (fried) bacon bits and cheese. Or ward off your hangover with an attempt to be healthy and mix in grated zucchini into the batter. Delicious even without a hangover. And then also cheese sauce on top? YES!
