7 things that happen to your vagina when you don't have sex

It might be due to the quarantine: you just don't feel like it. No libido. Or you don't have a partner and well, dating in times of corona is also something.
Still, a lot happens with your vajayjay when you go a while without it. Always handy to know, because honestly: it's not all that pleasant for your body. Panda points may sound innocent, but it's anything but. So: read, remember, and do something with it. Who knows, you might be just a bit quicker to get in the mood for a corona quickie. Hereby a nice new word for our Dutch language.
If you haven't had sex for a long time, this happens to your vagina:
- The walls of your vagina become thinner when there has been no action for a long time. This means that when you finally see a penis again, it hurts or feels extra sensitive.
- You have less oxytocin in your body: a hormone that reduces stress. It makes you feel happier and more relaxed, and if you miss that for a long time, well, you understand that it doesn't get any cozier at home.
- You have more stress and thus more cortisol flowing in your body.
- You have a lower chance of a bladder infection, because that often comes from not urinating after sex. That's a benefit.
- Your menstrual cramps get worse if you have little action down there.
- It may take longer for you to reach a climax the next time.
- Your vagina becomes slightly smaller and feels dry as well. What can help is to practice a bit on your own before you get down to business with a partner.
