Almost, almost, almost: the fourth season of Workin’ Moms

I am not a mother, but I find Workin’ Moms really hilarious. I was a bit skeptical beforehand because I thought it would focus heavily on parenting and was mainly intended for those parents. I still gave it a chance and immediately took back my prejudice because this series is really top-notch. Although I must say that it doesn't necessarily have a positive effect on my nesting instinct... No kids for me just yet.
But anyway, it quickly became clear that the series was received quite well, because there are already three seasons released. In a very rapid pace, at least on Netflix. Because the first season came out in 2017, but was only added to Netflix in 2019, which also immediately meant the success of the series. So thanks for that, Netflix.
Now three seasons later, and thankfully the fourth won't take long anymore. It will be fully online on May 6. What can we expect a bit? I am always really a sucker for spoilers, so I always look them up on the internet. Seek and you shall find, because a select group was already allowed to preview the first episode of season 4. So those spoilers are available. Just to emphasize again if it wasn't clear: the next paragraph. Contains. So. Spoilers.
Season 3 ended with quite a cliffhanger. Does Kate stay with Nathan or does she go for Mike? Don't expect this to be the plot of season four, because this is made clear right in the first episode. For the fans of Mike: unfortunately, she chooses her family and thus Nathan. But I still have the feeling that this is not the end of this story; I really thought she would choose Mike.
Mike thought so too, by the way. A flash forward to seven months later shows that he has moved on with his life, including a new pregnant (!) girlfriend, but his feelings for Kate have not exactly disappeared. That's going to be drama, drama, drama. The drama also continues in the house of Kate and Nathan, even with the kids: does Kate go so far as to drug her child to make him sleep? Tough. Things are not going so well with Anne either, and we see her crazy side a lot, as well as her relationship with Alice, which is of course anything but smooth.
Alice therefore has a new tactic: every time Anne does something she doesn't approve of, Alice shames her on her Instagram. Ah, punishments in 2020, love it. My prediction is that Anne is going to get much crazier this season, which I am actually very excited about. Bring it on, mommies.
