At this age, men and women are the most attractive

Are you looking for a site where you can find the most striking and interesting studies, then check out The Atlantic. I can really surf around there for hours, it's full of studies, from theories about MH370 to dating research. I'll catch you up on the latter.
They conducted extensive research among online daters and came to several conclusions. The first: we are all the reachers. Because generally, everyone swipes right for someone who is on average 25 percent more attractive than themselves. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go for that match, by the way: three-quarters of people in relationships say they feel that their partner is actually out of their league.
Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say, and apparently we see ourselves as somewhat less attractive. But is that justified? The Atlantic also delved deeper into that. When are we actually at our peak? Unfortunately, that was incredibly bad news for me, because for women that age is... Eighteen years. EIGHTEEN. That's just thirteen years ago and that means I've been on some sort of slide downwards for thirteen years, because according to research, that's what happens. At eighteen, you are the most desirable and from there it only goes downhill.
And the men? Yes, why am I not surprised by this? They are most desirable at fifty. How skewed is that? It's unfair that as a woman you apparently peak quite quickly, and I also immediately start to doubt my own judgment, because I don't exactly see myself in my prime in photos at that age. More like the blunder years.
But I admit: I understand fifty-year-old men. Hello Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Daniel Craig. They have absolutely continued to peak as they approached fifty. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? And you are as beautiful as you feel, that's much more important.
