Check Linde's home workspace

Is the kitchen table your home office domain or are you wedged between the wardrobe and the bed? Every week we look behind the front door to see what your home office looks like. This week we are a little bit jealous of Linde's.

Name: Linde Eijking (30)
Location: In Barcelona, at a desk in the bedroom
Work: Account executive in the tech industry
Lunch: Lots of salads with quinoa and poke bowls. No, no tapas.
Company: Housemate Jeroen
Essential: A good office chair
Annoying: Colleagues who pay attention to everything when the camera is on and mention it when others are in a call.

Tip I: Position your desk by the window.
Tip II: Come up with something to go outside for in the morning, even before your workday starts. Mine is to find as many nice coffee-to-go spots as possible and discover neighborhoods I rarely visit.
Tip III: Get up early, it works well.
Tip IV: Make breakfast for family or friends who live nearby and drop it off, that way you bring them a smile.
Tip V: On weekends I set my desk in the hallway, so I keep work and weekend a bit separate.
Tip VI: You can never have enough plants in the house.
Tip VII: Readers are leaders.

Plus

1. Organize your day more flexibly.
2. My coffee at home is definitely much better than at the office.
3. More focus and time to get your to-dos done because you have less small talk.

Min

1. That the digital coffee for networking doesn't go quite as smoothly as in the office.
2. The separation between work and private life is blurring.
3. The extensive Spanish lunches have turned into quick and easy bites.
